Conversations after the September 18th, 2004 
The Rave; Milwaukee, Wisc.

i got the chance to talk to rocky and john after their Milwaukee show on September 18th. At first, we wondered if anyone was gonna get an autograph. John was really pissed at something that went on at THE RAVE. "If you're all fans of Evanescence, do us a fovor. Never come see us play here ever again."

He didn't elaborate, and i think i made the choice in not pushing the subject. after half an hour, he came back off of the bus and had cooled down enough to chat with us. John told me they were headed off to Fargo for the last show of the Nintendo Fusion Tour. I told him to watch the movie and he'd better understand the people of Fargo. "I've seen it," he told me, "and if I see anyone with a woodchipper, i'm back on the bus and outta there."

John also confessed that he did grow up in Little Rock, and admitted to "just being a red-neck." He may just be a red-neck, but he's a red-neck that rocks. Also, don't expect to get many autographs from Mr. LeCompt before and after the show. "I only sign one piece per person. My manager has a fit if he catches me signing more then one item. He's worried about sellers, and i've heard what our stuff is going for on EBAY. It's horrible. They're making money off of our talent and it really pisses me off."

Rocky told me they were off to Europe after the Fusion Tour, and afterwards "we'll fly down to Australia for a few shows. Then we'll be back in the studio in January to record the next album. It should be out early 2004." Both John and Rocky seem impressed when i had them autograph Between the Second's EPTWO. Neither had heard their new music, but John did say he'd take the time to find Allen and Amy so he could.

Sadly, Amy and Ben never came out to see the fans, but I did manage to snag Will's autograph. He, above all the others, seems genuinely impressed when he's noticed.
