Here's the cancelled interview that was to take place between J. of HURT and Lacey of Flyleaf and the response of it being cancelled. Lacey, I’m going to ask you some tough questions focused upon your beliefs. I find belief in general a necessity for the human condition and no matter what you believe in, know that I find your piety beautiful. 1 In your professional career, what do you feel has been your biggest mistake in regards to dealing with an individual and what do you wish you had done at the time to salvage the situation? 2 Has your daily dealings with music made you somewhat calloused to its emotive sensations? Does it still affect you as strongly as when you had no experience in its business, production and necessary reciprocity as a live act? 3 In your estimation, would you say that the belief in a deity has saved more lives than it has ended? 4 What makes your ideals, ideal to the point where you feel others need to hear its message and do you attribute this to faith since all humans to some extent share the trait of wishing to impress others with their viewpoint, whether or not they think it will help them? 5 The Christian church alone has hundreds of denominations, sects and sub-sects each with irreparable differences between them. Those in search of important truth and answers typically need not look long before they find strife, contradiction and more questions instead. What is your advice to the many who seek the truth, but can’t help see the flaws in religion? 6 What is your most common motivation to live yet another day? - IE insane love for M&M's candy. 7 The Islamic faith acclaims Jesus as a simply a great prophet. The Christian church calls him the Son of God. The Catholic Church deifies Mary when others call her just a woman. Have you realized that at your age of 25 or so you have more followers than Jesus did? If you and he were on the same timeline and your ministries grew at the same rate, Jesus would have been as popular as John the Baptist was to him by comparison and the world would likely worship Lacey Mosley. How can you continue to worship Jesus as a god when you are outdoing him in his endeavors? 8 Quirkiest hobbies? - Ant burning etc.. 9 You guys walk the walk that you shout and talk. That is damn admirable! Unfortunately your respectful request to have a corruption free environment requires I stay away from your band when we perform together and ensures that individuals who do not yet share your beliefs float on as well. If you do not deal with corrupt individuals like myself on a personal basis (and personally I wouldn't If I were in your shoes) are you not simply preaching to the converted? 10 In the story of Job he had ten children. God allowed them to die to prove the steadfastness of his faith. In the end of the story Job gets to have ten more kids- I’m not sure how this makes up for his loss or establishes this God as a kind and loving one, but If you accredit the saving of your life to God then do you also attribute your suffering? Judging from the questions, I think he got his feelings hurt because I guess she didn't hang out with him on tour and he took it personally. I think its going to be kind of funny for her to answer them because he's one of those people that try to out-wit Christians because he thinks their beliefs are foolish, but he doesn't realize she's not some dumb naive unread girl. She is very grounded in her beliefs and I am also eagerly awaiting her response. It’s a very common thing. People are always trying to catch the guys on something. That's what happens when you’re labeled "Christian" band. |
